We Project Manage every stage of the process, from design, planning and approval, right through to the completion of your brand-new loft conversion. Our directors have over 50 years combined experience in the industry which means we understand that every home has unique requirements, and our goal is to be recognised as one of the leading suppliers of Quality loft conversions in Surrey.

There are four main loft conversion styles to choose from, and we can offer expert advice on which one is more suitable for your home once we arrange a suitable time to conduct a site survey:

Rear Dormer

This loft conversion acts as an extension to the existing roof system, increasing the headroom and creating extra floor space.
While all Rear Dormers have to extend from the roof slope, typically in a box shape, there are a number of different styles available to suit your property.
Planning permission is rarely needed for these types of loft conversions in Surrey.

Mansard

Similar to the rear dormer which are positioned at the rear of the property, built with a flat roof and a back and or side sloping inwards at an angle of 72 degrees.
They work particularly well on terraced houses featuring small dormers and provide a significant increase in space.
Planning permission is rarely needed for these types of loft conversions in Surrey.

Hip-to-Gable

Detached and semi-detached homeowners looking for loft conversions in Surrey often choose a Hip-to-Gable for their property.
The sloping sides of the roof are extended outwards and serve as a replacement for the existing sloping roof with a vertical wall (gable) that reaches the same height.
In most cases a Hip-to-Gable loft conversion does not require planning permission.

Velux

Velux loft conversions are the easiest and quickest to build, sometimes in as little as 4 weeks.
They are sometimes also referred to as a Rooflight loft conversion. Only one of the existing rafters needs to be trimmed out per window, with the Velux windows simply slotting in at an angle to the roof.
Velux loft conversions in Surrey will rarely need planning permission.
